Today a lady from the LDS Church Magazines came by to photo shoot some of the YSA members.  We had about 6-8 YSA lined up for the photo shoot.  The lady also interviewed them and took some of them out to Hyde Park for some additional photos.  Hopefully the kids will make it into one of the Church magazines some day.

We also had a change of pace.  Bishop was contacted by parents of a girl who came to Sydney for a nanny job, but the job fell through.  So we were asked to find her and then help her as much as we could.  We found her on FaceBook and I messaged her.  Two of the YSA had already friended her on FB, so we got one of them to come to the ward building and when I was able to get the young lady (18 years old) to find the ward building, she was taken under the wing of the FB friend.   We found her a place to stay for a few days and are now working on a more permanent housing solution.  Hyde Park bench is not one of the solutions.

We also need to get some of the luggage of the Chinese YSA out of the building before this coming Sunday when the Area Seventy, Elder Johnny Leota, comes to check out the building.  The problem the Chinese YSA have is that they go home for 2-3 months during summer break and really do not have any where to store their belongings.  But the ward building is not a storage area either, so we really have a bit of a conundrum.

One of our IELTS students brought us a lemon cake as a "thank you" gift for helping her with her IELTS and Professional Engineering certification application.  She (Cristina de Godos) is heading back to Spain for Christmas and will be returning sometime in early January.  We are hoping that her PE certification gets approved.  Then she still needs to get a higher score on IELTS to qualify for a decent Chemical Engineering job.  Wow, the challenges all these kids have to be able to live in Australia and work at their profession.
