Saturday, 10 December 2016

Today was a baptism day.  We started out by leaving the Hyde Park meeting house at 8:30 am for the Sydney Temple in Carlingford.  Several of the new members went with some of the missionaries that are leaving this coming week.  Since there were enough people to manage the baptisms, Margaret and I attended an endowment session and we were asked to be the witness couple.

After the session we went across the street to Carlingford Court shopping centre for lunch.  Then we caught several buses from there to Wollstonecraft train station since the trains were down in that part of the city due to track maintenance.  We arrived at the Greenwich meeting house just in time for the baptisms of some new converts.

After the baptisms we got on another train bus (yes, the trains were still not running) and headed ofr Wynyard station where we caught a train to Museum (the stop nearest our flat).  We had several missionaries and ward members help us move some luggage from the meeting house to our flat for storage.  The luggage belongs to several of the Chinese students who have gone home for the summer and they had no place to store their luggage.  We had to get it out of the meeting house because of an inspection that was going to take place  on Sunday.  We need to think of a better way to store luggage next summer.

on the train to Epping where we will catch a bus to Carlingford & the temple
